Here's our roundup of the last 30 days in UK elections: seventeen council by-elections in England and Wales, four in Scotland, and one for Parliament.
Labour won eight of the seventeen. The Conservatives won five, the Greens two, and Reform UK and the Liberal Democrats one each.
Six seats changed hands. Reform UK took East Markham from the Conservatives, but lost Hirst and Amble to Labour, two seats it won only last year.
It was a mixed month for the Greens. They gained Queen's Park in Brighton, but lost Wreake Valley and Blockley to the Conservatives, falling 34 and 49 points.
There's a new name on the ballot. Restore Britain stood in five contests and took between five and eleven percent. In Hirst, where it took 10.3, Reform UK's vote fell 20 points.
Where they stood, Labour averaged 29.6 percent, Reform UK 23.4, and the Conservatives 22.9. Reform stood in every contest, but won just one.
For Parliament, Labour held Holborn and St Pancras, Keir Starmer's old seat, but Green leader Zack Polanski took 32.8 percent.
Turnout averaged just under 32 percent.
Next up, ten more by-elections before the end of October. The closest looks like Beechwood and Heath in Halton, where the Liberal Democrats led Reform UK by just 5.2 points.
