Psephology.AI has just had its biggest round of updates yet. Here's a quick tour of what's new. The record now runs from 1889 to 2026. That's 138 years, over 1.8 billion votes, and nearly 1.2 million candidate results, across 1,557 elections, 1,422 councils and more than 55,000 wards. All of that now feeds thirteen Insights. Standing reports that answer the questions raw data can't, and refresh themselves every time new results land. Local Election Proxy turns every round of council results into a running read on all 650 Westminster seats, so you can see how a seat is moving between general elections. Swing Explorer lets you ask your own question. Pick a party, an area and two election years. Here's Labour in the East Midlands, 2019 against 2023, ranked council by council. Mayoral Mandate checks whether a metro mayor's win still holds at the ballot box. In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, the Conservatives took 28.4 percent for mayor in 2025. At the 2026 council elections, they were down to 19.8. Party Performance Over Time puts every election a party has fought on one chart. Parliamentary, local, devolved, mayoral and European, for the whole UK or any place you pick. The By-election Tracker updates every Friday. Across 54 council by-elections in the last 90 days, Reform UK leads on 27.7 percent, ahead of Labour on 23.2. Council Control shows who runs every council, every year since 1991. At the end of 2025, 166 of 386 councils had no overall control. That's 13 more than a year before. Election Health measures how competitive local democracy really is. In 2026, the average winner of a single-seat ward took just 42.1 percent of the vote. The lowest on our record. Looking ahead to 2027, Election Previews ranks every ward due to vote by the swing each party needs. Herefordshire tops the marginals list, with 21 of its 53 wards held by under 10 points. And May Seat Projections lets you move each party's vote and watch the seats follow. Notional Results replays the 2019 general election on today's boundaries. On those lines, 304 seats changed hands in 2024. Every figure shows its working. There are new Methodology, Coverage and How to cite pages, every report can be embedded, and council data from The Elections Centre and Open Council Data is credited wherever it's used.
